Joel has been teaching private guitar lessons, classes, and clinics for students of all ages and skill levels since 2014. He was on staff at New York University as an adjunct guitar instructor from 2019-2020. He has taught at various music studios in Calgary, New York City, and Montréal, and has given jazz guitar clinics and workshops at the Vic Lewis Band Festival, Banff Music Retreats, Westwinds Music Society, Central Memorial High School, Western Canada High School, and William Aberhart High School.

Joel believes in nurturing students’ love for music by offering fun, exciting, and challenging private lessons, group classes, and workshops that involve both the acquisition of technical skills on the guitar and of creative problem-solving skills to develop students’ ability to communicate through music.
